Hello!
My name is Rhiannon and I'm so glad you're here...

I became an art therapist, because I believe in the healing power of creative process. As a young adult, I was enveloped with anxious thoughts, disconnected from my body, stuck in unhealthy relational patterns and navigating grief. After setting a final boundary in a harmful romantic relationship, I found my way to therapy and began emotional healing. Alongside therapy, I also began to create art again, which supported in the rediscovery of my identity and strengthened my capacity to trust myself. Now it is my honor to support others in doing the same...
Are you seeking deeper connection to self, in relationships and to your community as a whole? Does it feel difficult to locate your needs and desires, because you are lost in a sea of thoughts? Perhaps you are unsure where to begin, feeling overwhelmed or find it difficult to trust yourself? I am here to support you in identifying the root of these limiting thought patterns by tending to your emotional landscape and cultivating an embodied sense of trust.

As a contemplative art therapist, I emphasize creative expression, experiential process and spirituality as a means of self-discovery. I believe in the healing power of empathic relationship and in co-creating a therapeutic space that feels safe. I am feminist and social justice oriented, incorporating a keen awareness of cultural humility and trauma sensitivity.

In session I will help you to identify unhealthy relational patterns, locate your needs and develop trust in yourself. We will explore tools of self-awareness, such as art processes, tracking bodily sensations and mindfulness that meet you exactly where you are. Through this you can heal and experience a more authentic, fulfilling life.

My experience is in trauma-informed and body-based art therapy with adults. I am passionate about supporting adults in reconnecting to their creativity, developing self-trust and healing relational wounds.
My approach engages mind, body and soul, which means we explore your emotional landscape holistically. I offer an integrated, emotion-focused approach that blends CBT, mindfulness and strengths-based therapy.
My training is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Transpersonal Art Therapy. This means I blend traditional approaches to therapy such as CBT and human-centered modalities with creative and spiritual processes that support the cultivation of purpose.
